Support Masjid As-Sunnah
From our friends at CAIR-Minnesota:

Masjid Al Sunnah Mosque, located in St. Paul, Minnesota, recently experienced a distressing act of vandalism that has left our community shaken. On Friday, May 12, at approximately 7 am, an individual deliberately targeted our mosque's main doors with a large rock, causing significant damage. This act of vandalism has deeply affected our congregation, leaving us concerned about the possible bias motive behind this incident.

In order to restore the security and sanctity of our place of worship, we are seeking urgent financial assistance. Our goal is to raise $10,000, which will allow us to replace the damaged doors and implement additional security measures to prevent any future incidents.

We’ve had a lot to celebrate this legislative session, and here’s another reason to keep dancing — the Minnesota Climate Innovation Finance Authority was created and fully funded with $45 million! MNCIFA is a state funding authority that will help communities, families, and businesses access money for renewable energy and other green projects. This innovative “green bank” was designed with equity and climate justice at its core. No one should be left behind in the transition to our greener future! MNCIFA will ensure everyone has access to the technical assistance and upfront funding needed to center equity and scale up our energy transition for climate justice.

Join Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light and CURE to thank the MNCIFA bill authors, Representative Emma Greenman and Senator Tou Xiong, other legislative champions, and the coalition of organizational partners and people who came together to make MNCIFA happen!

School Tools Drive Time

Tuesday, August 15, 10 am –12 pm and 3:30 – 5:30 pm, St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 900 Summit Ave, St. Paul, MN 55105

This is how Interfaith Action's drive works: Participating faith communities coordinate supply drives in their houses of worship during July and early August and then deliver their collected supplies on their drop-off day. Two of their programs (Department of Indian Work and Project Home) and several other St. Paul-based nonprofits receive the collected supplies and distribute to children at the beginning of the school year so they are ready to start school with the tools they need for success! Attached is a letter with full details to share with your house of worship.
Promotional materials, items needed, and details can be found on Interfaith Action's website. All you have to do is download and use all these items in your online and print materials to promote the drive in your house of worship. Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy in Religiously Diverse Societies

Tuesday, October 17, 12:00 - 1:15 pm, Online

The recent open-access volume Complexities of Spiritual Care in Plural Societies: Education, Praxis and Concepts (De Gruyter, 2022) contributes to an emerging field that could be referred to as "plural spiritual care and chaplaincy," by innovatively bringing together contributions from a broad range of contexts and religious traditions. Including empirical work and conceptual explorations, the volume helps to fill the gap between practices and developments related to plural spiritual care and chaplaincy in the scholarly discourse, and their application for practitioners serving religiously diverse populations in health and chaplaincy settings. In this webinar, editor Anne Hege Grung will introduce the book and project, contributor Nazila Isgandarova will discuss female voices in Islamic spiritual care, and contributor Su Yon Pak will explore Buddhist chaplaincy education at a Protestant seminary. Time will be allowed for discussion and questions. Free and open to the public.
